OLAT: Oriental Languages Aptitude Test

The Oriental Languages Aptitude Test (OLAT) is a 30-minute paper-based admission tests for applicants to certain undergraduate degrees in Oriental Studies at the University of Oxford and its joint schools. The Admission Testing Service in collaboration with the University of Oxford administers the test. 
All applicants that want to read a Middle Eastern language, i.e. Arabic, Hebrew, Persian or Turkish in the following courses are required to take the OLAT: Oriental Studies, European and Middle Eastern Languages, Oriental Studies with Classics (T9Q8) and Theology and Oriental Studies (VT69).

All registrations are made by the relevant test centres. You can sit for the Test at your school or college. If you don’t go to a school or college, you can still appear for the tests at an open centre. To find a centre, visit https://www.admissionstesting.org/find-a-centre/

The fee varies from year to year. Check the official website for fee and payment details. Some centres charge an additional administration fee. Check with your respective test centre.
